Patrick H. Hill's Obituary
Patrick H. Hill, age 78, of Longview passed away at home with his loving family by his side February 26, 2018. He was born to Harold and Kathryn in Hillsboro, Texas May 31, 1939.
Patrick attended local schools there growing up and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1957. During high school Patrick played football wearing #50 playing as linebacker and center. It was in 1955 the football team made it all the way to AA State Finals and in October 25, 2014 he along with the team was inducted into the Hillsboro High School Hall of Fame. After high school he enlisted into the Texas Army National Guard and for the next 6 years honorably served our country and state with the Texas 36th Infantry Division. Patrick and Kaye were proud members of the Lancer Crime Watch and served on the Longview Police Department “Citizens on Patrol” from 95-98. Patrick was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He always said he felt closer to God when he was in the great outdoors. He was a faithful member of the Greggton United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish Patrick’s memory is his loving wife of 54 years Kaye Hill, 2 daughters Stephanie Hill Crabtree and her husband Billy, and Patricia Hill Lloyd and her husband Gerald and grandchildren Kathryn, Whitney, Tamara, Maverick, Julius, Bailey and Madison.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 5pm-7pm, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Graveside services will be 11am, Friday, March 2, 2018 at Memory Park in Longview.
