Funeral services with full military honors for Sergeant First Class Patrick Glen Henderson, U.S. Army, 35, of Henderson will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel Doug Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mattox Cemetery in Diana. He passed away Saturday, September 20, in Henderson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Patrick was born May 17, 1973 in Tyler, TX and was a former resident of Diana. He was a highly decorated infantryman in the U.S. Army for the past 15 years and a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of the Longview Masonic Lodge #404 and a member of the U.M.F. of America. Patrick was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Glen Henderson and his sister, Terri Lynn Henderson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Amanda L. Henderson of Henderson; children, Michael Camden Henderson, Tyler Michael Berdar, Alexis Noel Henderson and Dillon Patrick Henderson; mother Patricia Ann Sergent of Diana; brothers, Robbie Glen Henderson, Bobby Lee Henderson and Anthony Neal Henderson of Dallas; and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Center for PTSD Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, 215 North Main St., White River Junction, VT, 05009.
