Patricia Watkins' Obituary
Funeral services for Patricia Watkins, 73, of Gladewater, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Brother Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Patricia was born on November 23, 1937 in Yazoo City, Miss. to John and Olene Black. She has been in East Texas since 1952 and was a member of the Kilgore Rangerette's in 1956 and 1957. She worked in retail sales for Safeway for 13 ½ years and Dillard's for 13 ½ years, and was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Patricia Roselee Watkins of Sulphur Bluff; her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Jana Watkins of Gladewater; her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Carolyn Small of Longview and their daughters, Jessica Smith and Shelly Small; her aunt, Jean Hutchinson of Weir, Miss.; and three cousins, Dot Weir, JoAnn Stephenson both of Ackerman, Miss. and Shirely McIntire of Weir, Miss. She will also be missed by daughter-in-law, Lavania Self and 3 step-granddaughters, Candice Beck, Nicole Albert and Justine Hatley.
