Patricia Helen Sessa's Obituary
Patricia (Pat) Helen Sessa passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Henry and Cecilia Kuza. She and her brother Henry (Mickey) and sister Virginia, grew up in Pennsylvania but later all moved to Texas. Pat graduated from Pennsbury High School. She took several classes on flower arranging.
Pat retired from the United States Post Office where she held several different positions including mail sorter and customer service. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a Master Gardner. She was a hard worker and raised three children on her own.
Pat was kind, thoughtful and generous, but could also be feisty and liked to keep us on our toes. Her creativity in selecting gifts for the family Christmas exchange has always been a big topic with the family. Pat always loved fast cars and loud mufflers. As a teenager, she would skip school and dance on American Bandstand and loved telling the story behind that. She loved working in her garden, planting flowers, painting pictures, doing puzzles and crafts. Pat loved making jewelry and working with her hands. She also loved to bake and the family always looked forward to her cookies and cakes during the holidays. Pat had a passion of researching her family’s ancestry. She was proud of her Polish heritage and referred to her mother’s recipes often. But the thing she loved the most was her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cecilia Kuza and sister-in-law Tony Kuza. She is survived by daughter Maria Sturdy and husband Bill, son Daniel (Danny) Sessa, son Michael Sessa and wife Toni, brother Henry (Mickey) Kuza, sister Virginia Barnett and husband Dan, grandchildren Jeremy Lockridge (Ellen), Jennifer Bowles (Scott), Jeanette Geddie (Clay), Tina Sturdy, Bruce Sturdy, John Dillon Sessa, Anthony Sessa and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many other loved ones.
The family will have a Celebration of Life on June 1st.
