Patricia Reifschneider's Obituary
Patricia Ann Reifschneider, born May 16, 1959, passed away August 27, 2018 in the home she filled with love, laughter and countless memories.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Philip, daughter Alysan, son-in-law Matt, granddaughters Reese and Alyvia, and grandson Camden; daughter Jessica, son-in-law Lane, and granddaughter June; brothers Ernest and Steve; sisters Mary Ann, Geraldine, Cathy, Janet, and Anita; respective sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was born as the eighth child into the loving family of Eleanor and Jerome Peitz in Garden City, KS. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1977 and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Philip. They were blessed with daughter Alysan in 1979 and daughter Jessica in 1988, and soon after relocated to Longview.
She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, and other crafts. Out of her affinity for flowers and anything colorful grew her beautiful backyard garden which she was very proud of. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her third granddaughter (JuneBug) due this coming winter. Patricia had a servant’s heart and was always lending a helping hand to those around her. She was a devout member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, where she was committed to strengthening her faith and carrying out the mission of God.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Eleanor and Jerome; eldest brother Leroy, his wife Bonnie, and their son Chris; nephew Keith; niece April; and great-niece Catie.
Family and friends will gather at Rader Funeral Home for visitation on the evening of Friday, August 31, between the hours of 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock. Funeral services will be held the morning of Saturday, September 1 at 10 o’clock at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Longview. All are welcome to attend a reception and dinner at The Reserve following interment at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
A Rosary will precede services for those who want to attend at 9:30 in the Morning.
