Patricia Haney Parks' Obituary
Patricia Haney Parks, of Longview, Texas, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Christus Mother Francis Hospital at the age of 83. She was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on November 19, 1941, to Lucille Marshman Haney and James Curtis Haney. She is preceded in death by her parents and sons, Keith Andrew Thomas and Kyle Anthony Thomas.
She is survived by her husband Lyndon Parks, daughters Kimberly Ann Johnson of Katy, Texas (sons Jacob Douglas and Lyndon Zachary), Keisha Thomas DiGiovanni and husband Marcel of New Orleans, LA (sons Joseph Paul and James Biaggio); Lysa Parks of Lindale, TX, and Lance and Connie Parks of Lindale, TX (daughters Morgan Parks, Hanna Parks Shaffer and Husband Braxton of Stillwater, OK).
Patricia graduated from Palestine High School and attended Henderson County Junior College. She worked for the Dean of Engineering at Texas A&M University where she began her family, moved to Longview and worked at Vertex Communications in Kilgore, TX and Stemco of Longview. She was a founding member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, raised her family at First Presbyterian Church and has been a member of First United Methodist Church for the past 25 years.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Friday April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM; interment will follow in the Columbarium of First United Methodist Church of Longview. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Asbury House.
