Pat, 61, died on Friday, October 24, 2008 after 4 months with gall bladder cancer.
At her death she was a Vice-President at Texas Bank and Trust where she loyally served 32 years.
She was a special person loved by all with an amazing smile and a gentle soul. Wherever she went and whatever she did, God's love came through. She helped you along the way or made your day nicer. A real genuine personality with the prettiest happy smile, she lived a blessed happy life and she made everyone thankful to know her. She was always happiest when others were happy. She was a precious gift from God to her family, husband, friends, and co-workers. She loved them all and she cherished their love and friendship toward her. What wonderful memories we all shared.
Over the years she was affiliated with Financial Women International, the American Institute of Banking, the Kiwanis Club of Longview, the Boy's and Girl's Club, and was on the reunion committee of the Pine Tree High School Class of 1965. She was an active member of the Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview.
The family would like to give special thanks to her wonderful doctors- Dr. Ben Mack, Dr. Larry Frase, Dr. James Sawyer, Dr. Perry Lewis, also the Nurses of the 4th and 6th floor of Good Shepherd Hospital and to the doctors and nurses at Beacon Hospice especially RN Rene' Scott and Brenda Jeffrey for their wonderful care. We would also like to thank all the many people who supported us with food, gifts, cards, and prayers. What a blessing you all were!
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband- Richard Hill, her son- Tony Hill with his wife Linda and kids- Paul, Rebecca, and Brittany of Louisville, Kentucky, mother- Opal Gilmore of Longview, mother-in-law- Katie Hill of Longview, Sister- Linda Peterson with her husband Sid and family of Bakersfield, Ca, Brother- Bill Gilmore with his wife Sandy and family of Longview, Sister-in-law- Nancy Cousins of London UK, Brother-in-law- Roger Hill and his wife Diana of Yuma, Arizona, Brother-in-law- Ed Hill of Lake Livingston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pat requested in lieu of a flower tribute that a donation be made to the Mobberly Baptist Church Library Memorial Fund, because she so enjoyed their books, or to Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House, in her memory.
