Ozelle Knight's Obituary
Funeral services for Ozelle Knight, 88, of Longview will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 am at Rader Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens following the services. Ms. Knight passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 28, 2015 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 16, 1927 in Winnsboro and graduated from Winnsboro High School. She married Clyde Knight on January 6, 1946. They lived in Houston until 1959 when they moved to Longview. The couple moved to Lake Cherokee in 1981. She was a devoted wife of 62 years until Clyde’s passing in 2008.
Ms. Knight was a devoted and loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.
Survivors are daughter, Carol Watson of San Francisco, CA; son, Donald Knight of Hallsville; son, Robert Knight and daughter-in- law, Patti of Arlington; son, Jim Knight and daughter-in-law, Adrienne of Wichita, KS; and son, Tommy Knight and daughter -in –law, Lisa of Longview. Grandchildren include grandson, Eric Knight and his wife Daleen of Arlington; grandson, Steve Knight of Austin; grandson, Adam Hamill of Austin; grandson, Austin Knight of Wichita, KS; and granddaughter, Erin Knight of Wichita, KS. She was also blessed with great grandson, Braedon Sims of Longview, great granddaughter, Audrey Knight of Arlington, great grandson, Cody Knight of Arlington, and great granddaughter, Lily Knight of Lubbock.
A very special thanks is sent to the nurses, aides, staff, and residents of Highland Pines Nursing Home. She truly appreciated the loving and special care she received from all. The family also appreciates the care and friendship she received from you in the last years of her life. You dealt with a difficult situation with passion, love, and dignity.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Rader Funeral Home on Friday January 30, from 6-8pm.
