Ova Curtis "Brandy" Brandenburg's Obituary
Ova Curtis “Brandy” Brandenburg, 89 of Longview, passed away September 20, 2022, peacefully with family by his side. Born March 11th, 1933, in Jelico, TN to the late Millard and Annie Brandenburg. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a Master Mason with the Masonic lodge in Dayton Kentucky. After his service he worked at Interlake Steel in Kentucky, later to reside in Longview and retire from Lone Star Steel. He leaves behind daughter Debra Russ and husband Joe of KY and daughter Sara Brandenburg of TX. As a longtime resident of Longview, he leaves behind a multitude of family and friends to cherish his memories. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will honor and remember Brandy’s life by gathering for a time of visitation and celebration on Friday, September 23rd, from 6-8 PM at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Following the visitation, the family would like to extend an invitation for a gathering at Brandy’s home, 2004 Madison Court in Longview.
