Oscar Muniz-Zuniga's Obituary
Oscar Muñiz, 25, originally from Loma Prieta, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2020.
He was born on January 31, 1994 in San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to José Cruz Muñiz Monsivais and Eustacia Zuñiga Niño. He was the youngest of three children who will be missed dearly by his sister, Yessenia, and brother, Julio. He was a loving father who loved his children. He was employed as a scaffold builder. His hobbies included spending time with his loved ones and working on his land. He always had a smile on his face and something funny to say. You could find him at the gym on many days because he wanted to be fit. He loved riding his horses and four wheeler. He loved his momma’s cooking. On his days off he loved working with his brother, Julio. His time with Jaylen was just for her. He loved dressing up and going out to dance.
Oscar Muñiz is survived by his parents, José Cruz Muñiz Monsivais and Eustacia Zuñiga Niño; sibilings, Yessenia Muñiz of Toluca, Mexico, her spouse, Jose Carlos Contrerras and children Alexander, Carlos Alexis, and Angelo Cruz; Julio Cesar Muñiz of Longview, his spouse, Diana Muñiz and children Kimberly, Julio, and Kevin. He was a very loving father to his children; Jaylen and Beto; and Joy. His loving partner, Adriana Garcia. He leaves behind to cherish his memory numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Zuñiga Niño Family and Muñiz Monsivais Family.
Services will be held with Rader Funeral. There will be a rosary prayed at Rader Funeral home on Friday, January 10 at 6pm. His funeral mass will be held at 11:00am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Longview, TX. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family appreciates your prayers during this difficult time. Thanks to those who traveled from a far to be with us, and the prayers of those who couldn’t come because of excruciating circumstances.

Nació el 31 de enero de 1994 en San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí, México, hijo de José Cruz Muñiz Monsivais y Eustacia Zuñiga Niño. Era el menor de tres hijos a quienes lo echarán mucho de menos su hermana, Yessenia, y su hermano, Julio. Era un padre amoroso que amaba a sus hijos. Fue empleado como constructor de andamios. Sus pasatiempos incluían pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos y trabajar en su terreno. Siempre tenía una sonrisa en la cara y algo gracioso que decir. A Oscar Muñiz le sobreviven sus padres José Cruz Muñiz Monsivais y Eustacia Zuñiga Niño; hermanos, Yessenia Muñiz de Toluca, México, su cónyuge, José Carlos Contrerras e hijos Alexander, Carlos Alexis y Angelo Cruz; Julio César Muñiz de Longview, su esposa, Diana Muñiz y sus hijos Kimberly, Julio y Kevin. Era un padre muy amoroso con sus hijos; Jaylen y Beto; y Joy Su amada compañera Adriana García. Él deja atrás para apreciar su memoria numerosos tías, tíos y primos de la familia Zuñiga Niño y la familia Muñiz Monsivais.
Los servicios se llevarán a cabo con Rader Funeral. Habrá un rosario rezado en la funeraria Rader el viernes 10 de enero a las 6pm. Su misa de cuerpo presente se llevará a cabo a las 11:00am en la Iglesia Católica de San Antonio en Longview, TX. Seguirá el sepelio en Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
