Ophelia Blalock Warrick's Obituary
Funeral services for Ophelia Blalock Warrick, 86, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, with Rev. Ray Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery in Pritchett, Texas under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Warrick passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her home in Longview after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on March 17, 1931 in Gilmer, Texas to Ahleen Blalock Pollick and spent her childhood with grandparents, Robert “Bob” and Viola Day Blalock. She had lived in Longview since 1953 as a wife, homemaker and mother of three children.
She is survived by a brother, Aubrey (A.L.) Capps; two sons, Don Warrick of Longview and Carl Warrick and wife Barbara of Longview; a daughter, Sheila Warrick Leslie of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Blaine Warrick and wife Aubrey, Blaise Warrick, Harrison Leslie and wife Ashley, Lindsay Leslie Martin and husband Josh; and six great grandchildren, Easton Leslie, Caiden, Sophie, Wyatt, Alena and William Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, W. I. “Bill” Warrick, Jr.; mother, Ahleen Blalock Pollick; a brother, Bobby Gene Capps and a sister, Betty Sue Capps.
Family and friends will be received at Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
