Opal Rae Brownlee's Obituary
Funeral services for Opal Rae Brownlee, age 81 of Henderson, will be held Saturday January 26, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Opal went home to be with her Lord on Thursday Morning January 24, 2013 at 1:00am at the age of 81. She was born December 7, 1931 in Barbers Hill, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and confidant. Opal is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Everett, brothers Sonny and Walter, sisters Camille and Mary. Opal is survived by her husband of 59 years, Hugh W. Brownlee. Her legacy lives on in her sons Michael and Steve Brownlee, and daughter, Laurie Vineyard, as well as their spouses, Linda and Sherry Brownlee, and Charlie Vineyard. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Aaron and wife Sara, Chris and wife Joie, Andrew, Katie, Cody, Sean and Courtney.
She also leaves behind many beloved friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Brownlee, Chris Brownlee, Andrew Brownlee, Cody Vineyard, Sean Brownlee, and John Blake.
Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Friday night at the Funeral Home.
