Funeral services for Oneita Maxine Sparks Gary "Nanny" will be at 12 Noon Thursday April 29th at Longview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Harp and Rev. Paul Gauntt officiating. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery in Rusk County under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday April 28, 2010 from 6-8pm.
Neita was born January 18th 1929 in Rusk County in the County Line Community and passed away April 26, 2010 in Longview, Texas. She graduated from Mt. Enterprise High School and married her high school sweetheart in 1946. She was the owner of MiLady Beauty Shop for 43 years. Since retiring she loved spending her free time with family and friends, gardening and watching and feeding the birds, and attending the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion and other gospel singings.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Elzin "Red" Gary. Survivors include her son David L. Gary and wife Kay, daughter Rita Jackson and husband Jerry, son Tony Gary and wife Shana, grandson, Chance Gary and wife Ashley and great-granddaughters Olivia and Merrick, granddaughter Shannon Tatum and husband James, granddaughter Jana Watson and husband Derrell and great-grandson Silas, granddaughter, Allison Patton and husband Donald and great-grandchild, "Baby Patton", granddaughter Brittany Gary, and grandson C. J. Gary and many other family and friends she loved dearly.
