Ollie Chapman Moore
Graveside services for Ollie Chapman Moore, 98, of Longview will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2006 at Chapelwood Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas with the Reverend Clayton Sheets officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Tuesday, January 3, in a Longview nursing center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moore was born February 10, 1907 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Ike and Ida Chapman. A longtime resident of Longview, she was a former resident of Texarkana, Texas, where she was a member of the Rosehill Baptist Church. Her church was a very important part of her life, and being a nursery worker, she touched many young lives. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; son Harry M.; daughter, Linda Moore. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, who loved her very much, Harold Shanks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Joy Shanks of Longview; granddaughter, Angela Yount and husband Bob; great grandchildren, Hailey Yount and Shayne Yount; and great great granddaughter, Samantha Joy.
