Oliver "O.B." Byron Thompson's Obituary
Born November 4,1925 to Issac Byron and Dillie Ann in Wichita Tall Falls, Texas, O. B. joined them in his Heavenly home on December 8, 2018. Also, there to greet him was his sister, Lora Lee Herringer and many other family members.
There will be a time of visitation at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 6pm-8pm. Services will be Thursday, December 13, 2018,1:00 pm at Spring Hill First Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Wayne Spanhanks and Wayne Haney. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park.
O.B. proudly served in the U S Navy during WW2 and the Korean conflict.
After retirement from Marathon LeTourneau, O.B. continued to work with his hands building and crafting various projects. He was loved and well known for these works throughout East Texas.
O.B. Is survived by five children; Linda Miller, Byron Thompson, Cynthia McAnally, Randall Thompson and Kerry Thompson. Also, special "adopted" son, Shayne Tackett and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
