Olga Isabel Miramon's Obituary
Olga Isabel Miramon was born in Barranquilla Colombia on October 4, 1945 to Gonzalo Miramon and Virginia Manotas. She passed away on October 6, 2015 after a long battle against lung cancer. She was a true warrior and fought to the very end!
Olga moved to United States in 1988 and lived in South Florida until April 2015. She worked as an administrative advisor at Kaplan medical for international students who were working to take the boards in the States. She recently relocated to Henderson, Texas to spend her last days with her family.
Some of her passions were ballet and the arts. She loved sweets more than anything and appreciated colorful flowers and arrangements as well as wearing her hats and jewelry at special occasions. In addition, she enjoyed going to the themes park in Orlando, Florida. Her favorite one was Magic Kingdom.
People who interacted with her, even for a brief moment will say that her smile lighted up a room, or their day. She had a certain kind of radiance about the way she smiled that let you see the joy and kindness within her even during difficult times.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Gonzalo Miramon of Barranquilla, Colombia; daughter, Olga Romeo; son, Dr. Bruno Romeo and daughter-in-law, Tanja Schittenhellm, gran daughter, Mia Romeo, nieces and nephews, as well as many other loving family and friends.
We, her children, Olga and Bruno Romeo are very grateful for all her devotion and sacrifices she endured to raise us as loving, hard working, honest and persistent individuals with a great concept of ethics, moral and compassion towards others. She was the core of our existence and will be greatly missed! She leaves a void that would be impossible to fill in our hearts. Mom we will always love you! Rest in peace!
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of East Texas for their wonderful support. Also we would like to thank everyone in Henderson and surrounding areas who has contributed in any way and continue to give us their support through these difficult times.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home on 800 Kilgore Drive, Henderson, TX 75652.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 in St. Jude Catholic Church located at 200 N. Morningside Avenue, Henderson, TX 75652.
