Oleta Threadgill Floyd's Obituary
Funeral services for Oleta Threadgill Floyd , 96, of Wylie, Texas, formerly of Longview, will be at 10 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Robert Johnson and Gerald Pinson officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Deport, Texas at 2:30 PM. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM.
Mrs. Floyd went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 24 at Garnet Hill Rehab and Skilled Care center.
A native of Lamar County, Texas, Oleta was the daughter of W. T. and Pearl Lawler. She moved to Longview 60 years ago from Nederland, TX and retired from J C Penney in the catalog department and was a member of the Longview Church of Christ.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents, husbands James H. Threadgill and Doyle M. Floyd and a brother, Vaughn Lawler. Those left to cherish her memory are a son: James C. Threadgill and wife, Peggy, of Parker, Texas, step daughter: Nancy Floyd Hamilton and husband, Eddie, of Amarillo, TX, brother: Jack Lawler of Irving, TX, grandchildren: Michael Jay Threadgill and Eric Scott Threadgill, great grandchildren: Allie Threadgill, Eric M. Threadgill, Alexis Threadgill, Halie Threadgill, nephews: Don Lawler and wife Mary of Longview and Richard Lawler and wife Carol, of Irving, TX, nieces: Annette Lawler Atkins and husband Jack of Huntsville, TX and Sheryl Lawler Houston and husband Lance, of Crandall, TX.
