Olan Ray Dorgan's Obituary
Graveside services for Olan Ray Dorgan, 84, of Longview will be 2 PM Friday, December 2, 2005 at Mims Chapel Cemetery in Jefferson, TX with Chaplain Richard Pruitt officiating. Mr. Dorgan passed away Wednesday morning in a local nursing home. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Dorgan was born on November 18, 1921 in Jefferson, TX to Elbert and Anita Dorgan. He worked as a mechanic for ICI America in Marshall, TX before retiring. He was a Baptist and a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW and American Legion in Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson Colten Langley; grandson Eddie Palmer; and brother Pete Dorgan.
He is survived by daughters and sons in law Frankie and Russel Pollick of Longview, and Patricia Ann and Richard Dickerson of Tyler; son and daughter in law Olan David and Jean Dorgan of Marshall; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother and sister in law Eddie and Nona Dorgan.
