Odis Ray Hill's Obituary
Services for Odis Ray Hill, 62, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 4, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Church with Father Kevin Wittmayer officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hill died April 1, 2005.
Mr. Hill was born September 23, 1942 to O.J. and Willie Hill in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Growing up in Kilgore, Texas, Mr. Hill went on to the University of Texas and then obtained a law degree from Baylor University. He has practiced law in Longview for 38 years, serving as district attorney from 1974-1981.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Jean; son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Heather Hill; daughters and sons-in-law Robin and Clive O?Donoghue and Alexis and Bud Summers; grandchildren Brooks, Watson, Carter, Noah, Evelyn, and Jane; and sister Dorothy Forth of Kilgore.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Barrow, Jim Heath, Jerry Harris, Rex Nichols, Bill Jennings, Craig Abernathy, Steve Bodenheimer, Frank Odom, Glenn Perry and O.D. Hughes.
