Odell B. Ellis' Obituary
The triumphant going home celebration service for Odell B. Ellis, age 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home chapel in Burkburnett, Texas. Services will be under the direction of Radar Funeral Home of Longview, Texas and Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Officiating will be Rev. Leon Veazey of Little Flock Baptist Church, Longview, Texas. Mrs. Ellis went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, January 26, 2007.
Mrs. Ellis was a retired civil service worker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam R. Ellis whom she married November 7, 1942. Mr. Ellis was a devoted husband until his death January 5, 1991.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Jim Mills of Hallsville, Texas as well as two grandsons, Ronnie Mills and his wife Jill of Hallsville, Texas and Brent Mills and his wife Roni of New Boston, Texas. Also surviving are her greatest joy, four great-grandchildren; Taylor and Ashlyn of Hallsville and Wesley, Sam and Daniel of New Boston.
The family would like to thank all of their special friends who have shown tremendous support during this difficult time and a special thank you to Rev. Leon Veazey for his special support.
