We were terribly sad to hear of Nonie's passing; she was one of the most 'real' people in our lives. We worked with Nonie helping raise money for the Symphony, but our help was a pittance compared to the years she gave to the cause! Nonie was proud of her role as a foot-soldier in the war that our government ignores, the war against the disease of hepatitis. She was tireless in her advocacy and in her ability to bring comfort and knowledge to the sick and the frightened. She will be missed by all of us in the Hep C community. I am so sorry for your loss of such a tremendous lady. I had the honor of doing Nonie's nails for the last 8 years. She was so much fun and I always enjoyed listening to her talk about her family and how much she loved you all. She loved to tell me about all her travels and where she was fixing to go next. I just saw her a few weeks ago and she told me as soon as she gets better she was ready for a trip. I had no idea that would be the last time I would see her. She will be truly missed by so many. I will miss our talks and laughs. I feel so blessed to have known Nonie and I will never forget her. I first met Nonie at a Hepatitis support group meeting and she was so frightened by her new diagnosis. She had thousands of questions which I tried to answer. She then started on a quest to learn everything she could about the disease and treatment. Soon, She became the one helping others over their fears. Over the years I have found Nonie to be the same with just about everything. She was outspoken but had the heart of gold. I will miss her greatly.##imported-begin##Sarah Hill##imported-end##
