NOEL E. FIELDER
Services for Noel E. Fielder , 81, of Hallsville will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the Hallsville First Baptist Church with Dr. David Massey, Rev. John Taylor, Buck Lineberger, and Olin Owens officiating. Burial will follow at the Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Fielder died Monday afternoon at a local care center.
He was born January 25, 1927 at ElDorado, Arkansas to Olin and Loamie Edwards Fielder. Noel graduated from ElDorado High School and received his B.S. in machine science from LeTourneau College. He began his career with Eastman Kodak in 1951 and retired in 1986 from Texas Eastman Co. as polypropylene division maintenance engineer. Noel was a member of the Hallsville First Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather who liked bird hunting, training Arabian horses, and playing basketball.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette of Hallsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula Jean and Jerry Schroeder of Longview; sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene O. and Marianna Fielder of Oklahoma City and Alan O. and Jill Fielder of Rochester, New York; grandchildren: Bryan Lunsford, Laura Washburn, Rachel Fielder, Rebekah McCauley, Anna Fielder, Alexandria Fielder, Samuel Fielder, and Katlyn Fielder; sisters, Virginia Smith of Monroe, Louisiana and Mary Herring of Orlando, Florida.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Wednesday evening 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hallsville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
