Nina Sue Miley Pierce's Obituary
Services for Nina Sue Miley Pierce, 79, Longview, Texas will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Visitation will be at 10:00 am preceding the funeral. Burial will follow at Glenfawn Cemetery.
Nina was born on October 16, 1938 in Jacksonville, Texas to George and Benona Miley. She attended Laneville High School where she met her beloved husband, Dan Pierce. Nina worked as a teller and bookkeeper in Cushing State Bank and Citizens Bank in Rusk.
Her greatest passions were her family, playing the piano, and traveling with her husband. Nina and Dan were active members of church wherever they were living and this was an important part of their life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, SG Miley, Buck Miley, and Clarence Miley.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Daniel Pierce, son DeWayne and wife Joanna, son Danny and wife Kristy, and treasured sister, Faye Miley Cleghorn. She is also survived by sister-in-law Martha Miley, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Martha and Gene Milstead along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren include Natalie and Adam Dvorak, Ashley Ballenger, Andrew and Jenna Tilley, Nick and Lacey Tilley, Daniel Pierce, Madeline Pierce, Collin and Whitney Pierce, and Matthew Pierce.
Great-grandchildren include Madeline Dvorak, Brayden Pierce, Brooklynn Ballenger, Kennedy Dvorak, Brinley Ballenger, Austin Dvorak, Caleb Tilley and Abby Tilley.
