Funeral services for Dane Guest, 23, of White Oak will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor David Dusek officiating. Interment will follow in the New White Oak Cemetery. He passed away Friday evening, July 11 in Longview from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dane was born May 14, 1985 in Longview and was a lifetime resident of the Longview/White Oak area. He was a 2003 graduate of White Oak High School where he played football for the White Oak High School Roughnecks. His senior year, he was voted "The Wittiest" in his class. Dane enjoyed fishing. He was a Christian, and he recently re-affirmed his faith and was baptized. He was employed as a server at Applebee's Restaurant.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Byron and Debbie Henson of White Oak and Raymond Guest of Longview; brothers, Hagen Henson of White Oak and Aaron Guest of Harleton; grandparents, Elsie Spurlock of Longview, Gail and Mary Henson of White Oak and Clyde and Nancy Tomlinson of Longview; great uncle, Ed Dyer of White Oak; aunt, Sandi Maglaris of Hallsville; uncle Barry Henson of White Oak; and several cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
