NELWYN SHAW KILLINGSWORTH
Funeral services for Nelwyn Shaw Killingsworth , 81, of Longview will be held at 10:30 AM Friday in the Memory Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Tim Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Rader Funeral home, 1617 Judson Rd.
Mrs. Killingsworth was born April 4, 1926 in Glenmnora, Louisiana to Julius Gram Shaw and Lydia Henderson Shaw. She and her family came to Longview in 1931. She was secretary to the superintendent of Pine Tree Schools for ten years, spending her remaining years as a dedicated servant to Christ, loving wife and devoted mother of five. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.
Mrs. Killingsworth was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Samuel Richie Killingsworth and her brother, Robert Graham Shaw.
She is survived by her husband Lee Killingsworth; sons, Lee Killingsworth, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Silsbee, Texas; Gary Ketchum and wife, Kay of Kilgore, Texas; Jim Killingsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a daughter, Lois McCaleb and husband J.B. of Longview; Grandchildren, Joe McKay, Lacy K. Holland, and Josh McCaleb and five great-grandchildren.
Nelwyn concluded her life on earth with a large extended family and a host of devoted friends going to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 11, 2007.
