Mrs. Nelva Hulsey Davis' Obituary
Funeral services for Nelva Hulsey Davis, 96, formerly of Longview, will be held at 1 PM Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Mrs. Davis passed away Friday morning in Plano.
Nelva was born in Utica, OK on June 6, 1917 to Florence and John Hulsey. She loved her church, First Baptist of Longview and all of her card playing friends. Mrs. Davis was an avid reader and crossword puzzle fan. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and wife. Her grandsons were her delight, and she loved spending time with them. She was their Mommaw, and they loved her immensely.
Preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and husband of almost 60 years, Fred Davis, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Davis Cutts and husband, Phil Cutts; son, Fred Davis, Jr and wife, Marcia Davis; three grandsons, Lance Davis, Bradley Davis Burk and fiancé, Abbie Grace, and Steven Andrew Burk and wife, Mona; Three great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
