Nell Murray's Obituary
Nell Murray, 76, of Longview was born on July 20, 1933 in Fairplay, Texas and went to be with the Lord March 27, 2010.
Ms. Murray graduated from Beckville High School. For 48 years she was married to the love of her life Joseph Edgar "Jack" Murray, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Greggton First Baptist Church.
Nell loved the outdoors, spending time with her family especially with her great grandchildren and playing cards with her brothers and sisters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In the past several years she loved getting to know and spend time with her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Joe Murray of Longview; daughter and son-in-law Judy and Bill Rice of Longview; sister Elise Loveless of Longview; brother and sister-in-law Roy and Fannie Lou Waldrop of Beckville; sister Ann Chandler of Forney; brother Grady Cherry of Dallas; grandchildren and their spouses Melanie and Michael Alvis, Travis and Neicia Smith, William Rice, Jessica Joyce, Chelsea Rice and Jaclyn Murray; six great grandchildren.
Nell is preceded in death by her husband Jack Murray; mother Nellie Cherry; father William P. Waldrop; sisters Lee Wyatt and Christine Armstrong; brother Bill Waldrop; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Travis Smith.
Services for Nell Murray will be Friday, April 2, 2010 at 10 am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010.
