Nell McIntosh's Obituary
Graveside services for Nell Clopton McIntosh, 90, of Lake Cherokee, will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Rex Humphreys officiating.
Mrs. McIntosh died on February 20, 2005 following a long illness.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. McIntosh was born July 26, 1914 in Ellis County, Texas to Nancy Leila Farrar and William Allen Clopton. She married Louis Neely McIntosh in Palmer, TX on October 7, 1934. They moved to Longview in 1938 and established McIntosh Corner Drug in downtown Longview. They were also co-owners of McIntosh-Duke Pharmacy and McIntosh Drug #2 and they owned and operated the McIntosh Christmas Store until their retirement.
Nell and Louis McIntosh were lifelong partners. They were together each and every day for 64 years, whether working in the stores, their beautiful yard or enjoying Lake Cherokee. They were the happiest when they had their family around them.
Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1998 and her seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bill Grounds; daughter, Martha Owen; two sisters-in-law, Lorena Clopton and Janie Barron; three grandchildren:
four great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife and mother. ?Mama Nell? always had a special place in her heart for children and she will be dearly missed and always loved.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening, from 5-7 PM.
