Nelda E. Costlow's Obituary
Nelda E. Costlow went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 4th after passing away from complications surrounding her valiant battle against cancer over the past twenty years.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday, January 7th at the Longview Church of Christ, 1401 Eden Dr. with Robert Johnson and Benny Bristow officiating. Burial will follow at the New Salem Cemetery in Rusk County under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Nelda was born November 15, 1940 at Jacksonville in Cherokee County, Texas to Leo Melvin and Lena Pearl Hight Tinsley. A Lifelong area resident, she was a member of the Longview Church of Christ, a homemaker, and was formerly an office manager for the Visiting Nurses of East Texas.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Kathryn Costlow of Katy, Texas and Kyle and Cindy Costlow also of Katy; her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Butch Gossage of Longview; grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, and Madison Costlow and Hannah and Lexi Gossage; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Betty Tinsley of Longview, a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Glendale McKnight of Reklaw along with a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Costlow in 2001.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Friday evening 6 to 8 PM. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, TX 75606.
