Prayers for all of you as I started writing; this devotional was sent, so sharing.

"I am God and not a human; I am the Holy One, and I am among you."
Hosea 11:1

Think on those last four words, "I am among you."
God wants you to know He is in the midst of your world. Wherever you are as you read these words, God is present. In your car. On the plane. In your office, your bedroom, your den, your kitchen. God is near.
God is in the thick of things in your world.
God has drawn near. God has involved himself in the carpools, heartbreaks, new births, sickness, and sadness of our day. God is as near to us on Monday as on Sunday. In the schoolroom as in the sanctuary. At the coffee break as much as the communion table.

My fondest memory of Nate is when he’d challenge me to a game of pool. I never won, but it sure was fun trying! He was such a sweet friend and I was always welcomed as a “sista” to both him and April. He will surely be missed. April, may God wrap his arms around you and give you the strength (that we all know you have) that you need to get thru this loss of your best friend, Nate. I love you both…….Sista Sally
