Natalie Rainwater's Obituary
Funeral services for Natalie Rainwater, 85, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Friesen officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Rainwater died Monday, January 28, 2008, in a Henderson nursing home after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 5, 1922 in Graham, Texas to Hobson Lee and Grace Thelma Heath. She was a graduate of Oakcliff High School in Dallas and married Bernard Leon Rainwater April 4, 1942. She was a housewife and a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Rainwater lived many places growing up while her family followed oilfield work. She became an Army wife and again moved often stateside, but she also lived in Paris, France and Ft. Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. She traveled extensively in Europe. She loved fishing, ceramics, and spent her last few years piecing quilts. She owned Natalie's Ceramics in Henderson at one time.
Surviving is a daughter, Janet Nilsen and husband Charles of Henderson; son, David Charles Rainwater and wife Marie of Keatchie, LA; adopted son, David Sean Rainwater of Tyler; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kirkham of Henderson; brothers-in-law, Porter Rainwater and wife Doris of Ft. Worth and Travis Rainwater of Ft. Worth; grandchildren; Levin and Courtney Corbin of Shreveport, David Charles Rainwater, Jr. of Shreveport, Reagan and Mike Coble of Atlanta, GA., Chanan and Daron Fredrickson, Oklahoma City, OK;great grandsons, Lucas Coble of Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Brandon Coble of Vandenberg AFB, California, Chase Fredrickson of Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK., Zack Rainwater of Henderson, Cole Rainwater of Austin; great granddaughter, Chelsea Fredrickson of Oklahoma City, OK; , several cousins, nephews, and nieces; Best friend Martha Griggs of Henderson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
