Nancy Collier Moore's Obituary
Funeral services for Nancy Collier Moore, 84, of White Oak, will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 20, 2014 at Longview Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bill C. Voss and Bro. Tony Harp officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Lakewood Cemetery in Henderson, TX. Mrs. Moore passed away Saturday morning surrounded by her family at her home. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon at the church from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
Nancy was born on February 25, 1930 in Stephens, AR to Dale and Grace Collier. She graduated from Longview High School in 1947. She was married to Glyn “Denny” Moore in January of 1949 and they celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2005. She was a teacher at Pine Tree Elementary for 27 years. Mrs. Moore was a long time member of LMBC and in later years she joined and served at Greggton Missionary Baptist Church. She left a legacy of love and faith and always put others first. She loved her Jesus first, and loved her children and grandchildren and poured into their lives a love that will be felt for generations.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings, Peggy Wyche, Sandra Rasberry and David Collier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law Jane and Danny Blevins of Cleveland, TN, Jill and Ed Brando of White Oak, and Joy and Howdy Cameron of Tyler; her grandchildren and their spouses Ty and Lindsey Tyner of Austin, TX, Angela and James Laws of Cleveland, TN, Colt and Emily Cameron of Weatherford, TX, and Colby Cameron of Denton, TX; and her great grandchildren Caden Cameron, Kylie Cameron and Greyson Laws.
