Nancy Todd Bass' Obituary
The world lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Nancy “Toddy” Bass, on January 23, 2021. She fought cancer valiantly and never stopped giving out the best hugs and sharing her wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile. She died peacefully surrounded by those who loved her.
Nancy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 10, 1944 and she would tell you she learned about care, compassion and the importance of family from her own loving parents, Terrell P. Bass Jr. and Jane Locke Bass. Those close to Nancy knew her as a kind soul, always willing and able to cheer others up and care for them even when she was going through tough times herself.
She is survived by her husband Marv Cowan and his family who welcomed her with open arms ten years ago; her son Kelly Todd Bussey and wife Christy, their children Blane, Jacob, Mikayla and grandson Levi; her daughter Casey Bussey Tobin and husband Troy, their children Landen and Lauren and her sister Carolyn Bass Small. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Terry Bass Stelly.
Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate the life of Nancy in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on January 30, 2021 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shrine Sharon Temple of Tyler where her father was a member.
Services will be livestreamed from the video/media link from her obituary page.
