Nanci L. Ogilvie's Obituary
Red, yellow, black and white. They were ALL precious in her sight. Nanci loved the little children of the world.
Memorial service for Nanci Lee Ogilvie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Ogilvie passed away Monday March 31, 2025, from a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Nanci was born in Weisbaden, Germany on December 14, 1953, to Roy Malone and Joyce Shoulders Burns. She went to Clarksville High School and was part of the 1972 graduating class. She married her High School sweetheart, Bruce Ogilvie on November 14, 1970. During their 54 years of marriage, they had two children, Jody Ogilvie and Angie Ogilvie Williams and two God children, Ashleigh Dillard and Jamarr Martin. In addition, she had ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They all loved their “Nay-Nay”.
Her passion in life was children. In 1982 she and Bruce began fostering children, many of them special needs, totaling 238 children over the years. Many of these children have stayed in contact throughout the years.
Nanci was a member of Alpine Presbyterian Church for 30 years where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She also loved gardening, crafts and Carmex.
Nanci touched so many lives. She will be missed and loved by them all.
