Nalda Doby Murphy's Obituary
Nalda Doby Murphy was born on September 7, 1923 in White Oak, Texas. She went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 3, 2013. She was a graduate of Gladewater High School and retired to the Longview area in 1978, to be with family and friends. Nalda was preceded in death by her parents James and Josephine Doby and husband Kenneth R. Murphy Sr. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Craig O'Dea of Holly Lake Ranch; and sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth R. Murphy Jr. and Nancy of Tyler, and Bryan Murphy and Carolyn of Baton Rouge, LA. Additional family includes grandsons, Darren Landry and spouse, Angela of Frisco, Kenneth Murphy III of Greenwood, S.C., and Ben Murphy of Baton Rouge, LA.; granddaughters, Evelyn Nordlund and spouse, Randy of Greenwood, S.C., and Emma Howland and spouse David of Baton Rouge, LA and Sarah Murphy of Baton Rouge.; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Emma Landry, and Daniel, and Michael, Paige and Joel Nordlund, and Caleb Hebert. She is also survived by sister-in-law Lee Doby and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2pm Saturday April 6, 2013 at Rosewood Park Cemetery Mausoleum. A visitation will take place the night before, Friday April 5 at Rader Funeral Home between 5 – 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to be made in honor of Mrs. Murphy to the American Heart Association or Heartsway Hospice of Northeast Texas.
