Myrtie Snooks Findley's Obituary
Services for Myrtie Snooks Findley, 67, will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Robert Johnson and Benny Bristow officiating. A private family burial will follow at Hallsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Findley was born on January 6th, 1942, in Winnsboro, Texas and died November 6th at her home in Hallsville after a short battle with cancer. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Findley; one son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Roxanne Gipe; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kena and Norman Ridge, and Debbie and Sly Kapchinsky; one sister, Nonia McFarlin; and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilmore and Lucille Rouse, and her brother, Billy G. Robinson of Winnsboro, Texas.
Mrs. Findley was an active member of the Longview Church of Christ. She graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1960. She loved helping others and was a volunteer worker at Vancouver Cancer Center in Vancouver, Washington. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother.
