MOZELLE SHUTE
Mozelle Shute, age 92, passed from this world in her sleep February 15th in Sugar Land, Texas. Mozelle was born on August 9, 1916 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to J.W. and Lizzie Whittle. She was the last survivor among three brothers and three sisters.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving family include her daughter Billie-Ann Miller, wife to John Miller, two granddaughters, Kelli Livers, wife of Jerry Livers, Kimberly Crawford, and three great grandchildren, Brandon Hill, Kendal Hill and Keely Crawford-O'Donnell, Stepdaughter Cathy Richardson and son Cody Bohler. The great grandchildren were a special delight in her life., and she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.
Mrs .Shute was a resident of Longview for more than 50 years. She was employed by Johnny Cace's Steak House for many years before opening her own business, the Longview Clock Shop. She was a member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church and the Longview Lady Elks. In 2004 she moved to Sugar Land, Texas to be close to her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters, and their families. Mozelle's husband, John Shute, preceded her in death in 2004
Services will be 10 am Thursday, February 19th at the Rosewood Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Paul Streed officiating. Entombment will follow.
