Allen Morris Polk
Born in Rotan, Texas on January 30, 1944, and passed away surrounded by family on November 20, 2022. Visitation will be held Friday December 2, 2022, from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at Radar Funeral Home in Longview, Texas followed by family directed Services on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 1:00pm at First Baptist church Ore City in Ore City, TX.
On May 19, 1962, Morris married Wanda, the love of his life. They spent 60 years together building a wonderful family and never leaving each other’s side.
Later that year, Morris joined the United States Army as part of the Army Corps of Engineers where he proudly served his country for three years. Once leaving the service, Morris got a construction job in East Texas where he could enjoy the hunting and fishing.
In the 80s, Morris, along with a partner, started a construction company. Over the years, he worked for city of Longview and Brown and Root at Eastman. He kept busy in retirement as a self-employed commercial construction contractor. He spent much of his time hunting, fishing and enjoying time with his grandchildren.
His memory lives on through his devoted wife Wanda. His son, Mark Polk and wife Christy, daughter Pam Roberts and husband Dave, son Wayne Krc and wife Julie; six grandchildren Heath Polk, Taylor Polk and wife Lauren, Garrett, and Noah Roberts and Hunter and Samantha Krc; great-granddaughter; Lucy-James Polk.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Haynes and Faye Polk, brother Jerry Don Polk and grandson Justin Polk. He will be missed by all who knew him.
