Morland "Pat" Allen Lindsay's Obituary
Morland Allen “Pat” Lindsay, 69, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Longview.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10am at Alpine Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pat was born June 29, 1946 in Longview. He is preceeded in death by his parents T. Morland and Daronda Mackey Lindsay and his older brother Mike Lindsay. He is survived by two sons, Shane and Chris Lindsay, two grandsons, Logan and Carson Lindsay, niece Kimberly Lindsay, nephew Joe M. Lindsay, Aunt Shirley Mackey and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat graduated from Longview High School in 1965 where he played football for the Lobos and later at Kilgore College where he played football for the KC Rangers. He worked as a welder for Lebus, Capacity of Texas and Russell and Sons. Pat enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Cherokee and other lakes, was interested in rebuilding old cars, driving in local regional modified races and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Pat’s family would like to express their appreciation to Clairmont Longview Nursing Home for eight years of care given to him during his long bout to maintain the after effects of a stroke. Special thanks to Bobbie, Alstina, Erica, Roberta, Kayla and so many others for their bedside care and all other staff for their help in each of their own capacities.
