Morgan Wilson's Obituary
James Morgan Wilson, Jr. passed from this life November 25, 2015 in Longview. He was born in Waldo, AR to J.M. and Mattie Puska Wilson on March 20, 1931. He graduated from Waldo High School and attended Southern State College in Magnolia, AR. He is survived by his wife, Sue White Wilson, after 64 years of marriage. They were blessed with two precious children who both had Cystic Fibrosis. Suzanne Elizabeth preceded her father in death in 1976 at age fifteen, and James Russell only days before what would have been his 45th birthday in 2004. Other survivors include
a sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson, of Camden, AR; sisters-in-law, Jean Coe of Pearland, Nadine Moody of Texarkana, Joy White of Waynesboro, VA; a brother-in-law, Dale White and wife Dot, of Tyler; and many nieces and nephews. In Morgan’s late teens, he was baptized into the Lord. He was an active member of the Church of Christ in several locations during the years, serving as a deacon for a short while and then as an elder for thirty years. His declining health led to his resignation as an elder, and his last church home was Longview Church of Christ. Morgan served in the military during the Korean War, and retired from Exxon after working more than 33 years in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 with visitation from 5-6:30 p.m. today, November 29, 2015 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
