Mona Liles Alexander
Funeral services for Mona Liles Alexander, 66, of Longview, will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2003, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend Glenn Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Park. She passed away Saturday, January 4, in a Longview hospital following a brief illness. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Alexander was born October 31, 1936 in Jonesboro, LA., and had been a resident of Longview since 1997, moving from Shreveport. She was a retired office manager for Simonds Saw and Steel in Shreveport. Mona was a Baptist. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed traveling with her family, all of whom she loved very much. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Eric Alexander of Longview, Dana Alexander Greer of West Monroe, LA, and Brent Swope of Longview; sister, Vera Liles Posey of Shreveport; brothers, Tracy M. Liles of Jonesboro and John Paul Liles of Shreveport; grandchildren, Brandy Greer and Ashleigh Greer; great grandson, Dayton Clarke; 7 nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Foundation, 700 E. Marshall, Longview, TX 75601 or to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, TX 75606.
