Mollie Joe Goodwin
A celebration of the life of Mollie Joe Goodwin, 86, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery, Tyler with the Reverends Mark Horner and Tony Ciomperlik officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She departed this life to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 19. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Friday, December 20 at the funeral home. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Cisco, TX. on November 16, 1916 to Joseph and Maggie Hill Goodwin. She moved to Longview from Tyler 1 year ago to be near her loving daughter. Formerly a long time resident of Tyler, she was a salesperson and buyer for the Carpenter-Francis Pharmacy in Tyler. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Longview. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Wallace Goodwin. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Mollie and Robert C. Benson of Longview; wonderful grandchildren, Tammy Johnson and her husband John of Lone Star, TX. and Casey Benson and his wife Ember of Tyler; precious great grandchildren, Robin Miller, Katie Benson and Ellie Benson; her sisters, Lou Sweazea of Austin and Sara Peck of Ely, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
