Mollie was born on February 15, 1943 in Overton, TX. On July 10, 2012, while vacationing on the trip of a lifetime, Mollie passed away in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Mollie lived her life to the fullest for the past forty five years in Longview. She was an amazing cook, a witty story-teller, had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. She was a creative poet and would have a poem ready for any family event. She loved to spend time fishing on the lake with her husband, Nubbin.
Mollie and Nubbin were married on June 18, 1964 and recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. They have three children, Leza Kirksey, Lacy Contreras and Levin Fuller. Her life was complete when around family and friends. "Making Memories" with her grandchildren fulfilled her life.
She was retired from the Longview Independent School district and was a former president of the Longview Fireman's wives auxiliary, but the most recent thrill of her life was being cast as "Ivy Driscoll" in the movie, Bernie." It was an experience that was a highlight of her adventurous personality.
Mollie was preceded in death by her father, R.A. "Jack" Bates, Mother, Jennie Bates, brother, Hollis Bates, sister, Johnnie Bates Stallings, father in law, Norburn Fuller, Sr., and mother in law, Hansel Blackerby Fuller.
Mollie is survived by her husband, N.W. "Nubbin" Fuller, daughter Leza Fuller Kirksey and husband Jeff of Royse City, TX; daughter, Lacy Fuller Contreras and husband Andy of Aledo, TX; and son, Levin Fuller and fiancée Gloria Jimenez of Amarillo, TX. Grandchildren, Drayton Harris, Olivia Contreras, Jordan and Sierra Garay. She is also survived by eight siblings: brother, Murt Bates and wife Connie; brother, Freddie Bates and wife Jerry; sister, Jennie Lynn Ballard, and husband Kenneth; brother, Jimmie Bates and wife, Joni; sister, Dixie Duncan and husband Dennis; sister, Charlotte Martin and husband Bobby; sister Patsy Anderson and husband Thomas; sister, Debbie Martin and husband Randy; Geneva Bates, Jerry Stallings and numerous nieces and nephews.
