Mittie Lue Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Mittie Lue Smith, 92, of New Salem, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Olen Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Glenfawn cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Smith died Monday, September 4, 2006 in a Henderson nursing home.
She was born September 30, 1913 in New Salem and was a life long resident of the New Salem community. She was a member of the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church , a housewife, and a Mother.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lewis Smith and a grandson, Robert Brian Smith.
Surviving are her four sons; William Orea Smith and wife Rena Kate, Cecil Hank Smith, Ray Cotton Smith and wife Myrna, Dean Smith and wife Linda J., all of Henderson; two granddaughters, Sandra Costlow of Henderson and Cindy Acres of Weatherford; seven grandsons, Stan Smith, Todd Smith, Brad Smith, Chris Smith, Chad Smith and Kevin Smith, all of Henderson, and Greg Smith of Longview; eight great grandsons and eleven great granddaughters; two great great granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be her seven grandsons.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM.
