Miriam Elizabeth St. Romain's Obituary
On the morning of June 15, 2016, Elizabeth gently passed away at home in Harleton, Texas ending her four-year battle with ALS. Elizabeth was being comforted by her loving husband, Roy St. Romain when she went to be with the Lord. She was 65 years old.
Elizabeth was born August 22, 1950 in Marshall, Texas to Buddy and Nadine Jones. She was the fifth of five daughters. Elizabeth graduated from Marshall High School in 1968, and afterwards furthered her education at Panola College.
She will always be remembered for her bright eyes and sweet smile. Her love for family and friends will be greatly missed by many, and her love for the Lord was beautiful. Elizabeth had a love for quilting, as well as traveling/camping.
Her father, Theron “Buddy” Jones, and mother, Lilly Nadine Jones, preceded Elizabeth in death.
Those left to cherish Elizabeth’s memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Roy St. Romain of Harleton, TX; daughter Cindy St. Romain deVolpi and husband Kenny of Hideaway Lake, TX; son T.J. St. Romain and wife Tennille of Southlake, TX; daughter Stacey Cornett and husband Jeff of Longview, TX; and nine grandchildren: Caitlin, Caleb, and Alyson Archer of Longview, TX; Gunner, Grayson, and Garrison St. Romain of Southlake, TX; Jared, Caden and Grace Cornett of Longview, TX. Elizabeth is also survived by her four sisters; Penny Strickland (Ed) of Grand Prairie, TX; Peggy Hopkins (Don) of Frankston, TX; Sue Cooper (JC) of Van Alstyne, TX; and Therolyn Iblings (Paul) of Benton, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Elizabeth St. Romain will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Rader Funeral Home located at 1617 Judson Rd. in Longview with Bro. Ronny Segers and Bro. Mike Brittan officiating. The family will begin greeting friends one hour before the funeral service, starting at 3:00 pm. Her burial will follow at Hallsville Cemetery, in Hallsville, Texas.
