Miriam A. "Mandy" Thomas
Graveside services for Miriam A. "Mandy" Thomas, 88, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Waldrop Cemetery in Fairplay, Texas with the Reverend Steve Turner officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born January 31, 1923 in Fairplay, TX the youngest of 7 children to John and Mary Ida Hull. She had been a resident of Longview since 1959 and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was retired from Stemco, Inc. in Longview.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wallace Thomas.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sue Thomas of Longview, Joy Thomas of Frisco and Ginny Pollock and husband James of Marshall; her son, Bill Thomas and wife Becky of Longview; grandchildren, Kevin Thomas, Amanda Thomas and Joe Pollock; great grandchildren, Tabitha Pollock and Gabriel Pollock.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Gregg County, 303 Enterprise St., Longview, TX 75604.
