South Bend, IN
Miranda Danielle Mayes, 27, residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:33 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend after a long battle with leukemia. Miranda was born on January 25, 1981 in Longview, Texas. She has lived in South Bend since 2003, moving from Longview. On June 20, 2003 in Longview, she married Jason Mayes who survives.
Along with her husband, Jason, survivors include her parents; Don Gregg and Michele Gregg of Longview; sister, Haley Tate of Longview; brother, Taylor Gregg of Longview; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marjorie McMaster of Longview; paternal grandparents, Travis and Dorothy Gregg of Longview; nephew, Logan Tate; mother and father-in-law, Rich and Sandy Mayes of Longview; sister-in-law, Melissa Mayes of Longview; and brother-in-law, Brian and Brandy Mayes of Brookville, OH.
Miranda worked with 1st Source Bank as a bank secrecy act analyst. She was a graduate of Texas A&M University and was proud to be an Aggie.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Living Stones Church, 718 E. Donmoyer, South Bend. Rev. Sam Barrington will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Rader Funeral Home, Longview, TX from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mobberly Baptist Church, Longview. Graveside services and burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery, Longview.
