Minnette Rowland Alexander's Obituary
Minnette R. Alexander died Tuesday, February 7, 2010 at Summer Meadows.
A graveside service will be held 10AM Thursday, February 10, at Elderville Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 10:30 AM at Centre Presbyterian Church with Reverend John Woodard officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was born March 9, 1912 in Oklahoma to Henry and Ella Rowland. She was a teacher for 40 years in the Odessa and Longview schools. Minnette was a member of the Centre Presbyterian Church, Teachers Retirement Association and the Shriners Auxiliary. She loved her Lord, her church, her Sunday School Class and many friends
In 1955 Minnette married Bill Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers John Rowland, Raymond Rowland and Gene Rowland and step son Roy Alexander.
She is survived by three nephews in California, niece, Louis Ann Roberts of Lake Cherokee, sister in law Florence Rowland of Kilgore, step sons, Jack Alexander of Rockwall and Melvin Alexander of Cedar Park, TX and special friends Don and Mildred Nesbett and Lee Ratcliff.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centre Presbyterian Church or Letourneau University.
