Milton Ray Copeland's Obituary
Funeral services for Milton Ray Copeland, 69, of Longview, will be 4 PM Saturday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Couvillion officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Copeland died Thursday morning in a local hospital.
A native of Norphlett, Arkansas, he was born July 31, 1934 and was the eldest son of James Milam and Flora Wallace Copeland. Mr. Copeland was a firefighter in Longview and Kilgore for 18 years and in 1970 he purchased the United Machine Shop in Kilgore which he has operated until present time. He was a member of Summerfield United Methodist Church in Longview.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Annelle Copeland of Longview; Children: Terry Copeland and wife Kathy of Frederick, MD, Danny Copeland and wife Brenda of Longview, Gina Copeland Lee and husband Roger of Kingsport, TN, Kevin Copeland of Kilgore, Leigh Ann Copeland Decker and husband Billy of Longview, Joni Robinson Holliday and husband Joel of Richardson, Beverly Robinson Hyden and husband Ron of Spring and Terri Robinson Wynn of Longview; Sisters: Carolyn Benefield and husband Bobby of Buras, LA., Beth Woodmansee and husband Bernard of Florence, MS; Brother: James ?Butch? Copeland and wife Nancy of Kilgore; Sister and Brother-in-Laws: Kenneth and Elaine Box and Donald Foster of Edgewood; 17 grandchildren, 1 ½ great grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews; close family friend: Bill Holiman.
