Milton William Evans Jr.'s Obituary
Milton William Evans Jr. was born to Milton William Evans Sr. and Amelia Mae Key on September 12, 1940. Milton married the love of his life, Lanyta Dianne Nichols and they were blessed with four children.
He was a man of strength and integrity. His word was his bond. Never a man to sit idle, at an early age he set himself to work and would continue to work long after retirement age. Milton was a living example of how keeping your mind and body active will keep you young. Throughout his life his work ethic, and devotion to those he held dear defined him. Pared with his own unique sense of humor he would win the respect and love of those he worked with which developed many lifelong friendships.
He was as active in his personal life as his professional being an accomplished bowler and singing in the church choir. “Daddy sang Bass” was an appropriate phrase for him as he loved singing with and for Dale Perkins in the Mobberly Baptist Choir.
Milton also loved hunting and fishing and went on many trips with family, friends and coworkers doing so. Family gatherings for Birthdays and Holidays were always an event at the Evans home. Many times those events would end in heated washers tournaments going long into the evening and occasionally the night. But the trips planned to Colorado for he and Dianne were a special delight. He loved to plan different routes and find unique stops to surprise her with. Theirs was a love story for the ages meeting in high school and never leaving one another’s side for sixty two years. In all that time their love never waned and remains a testament to true love for everyone who knew them.
Milton went to be with Jesus on October 2, 2023.
